We always get a little sentimental as the New Year approaches, so we thought we would take a quick look back at not only some of the projects we worked on, but also what it means for guest Wi-Fi, rural broadband and energy management in 2015.
Wireless Networking for Solar Energy Solution Providers
Our home has always been in wireless networking, but as utilities continue to strive to reduce their carbon footprint, we saw an emerging need for an expanded range of network services expressly designed for the solar energy industry or energy management as a whole.
Further proof emerged when the Wall Street Journal covered energy independence steps taken by Twenty Nine Palms, a Marine Corps base, where we designed and installed a wireless network to replace and expand an unreliable fiber optic network.
RESOLUTE Partners to provide patient and guest Wi-Fi access to VA San Diego Healthcare System
We have done a lot of work with the Department of Veteran Affairs as our roots stem from the military in many ways. With that said, we were given the opportunity to seamlessly deliver patient and guests of the VA San Diego Healthcare System, La Jolla Drive campus Wi-Fi connectivity.
The service provided access in public areas of the 296 bed San Diego facility including outpatient clinic areas, impatient wards, Canteen, community living centers, chronic care wards, and the VHA Library. Making Internet access readily available is one of the U.S. Department of Veteran's Affairs Patient and Family Centered Care Initiatives designed to create a positive, holistic experience for both patients and their families.
Later, the Department of Veteran Affairs awarded contracts to us to provide Wi-Fi access in 25 additional hospitals and clinics in several regional VA health care systems across the country.
RESOLUTE Partners to provide wireless broadband connectivity to the Seneca Nation of Indians
Guest Wi-Fi and rural broadband were hot topics in 2014. We saw Scotland roll out public Wi-Fi to the masses via government buildings and the FCC launch it's Rural Broadband Experiment to name a couple.
At Resolute, we were given the opportunity to work with the Seneca Nation of Indians to help connect more than 1,000 homes in Upstate New York which spanned over 24 square miles of rural, difficult to access terrain. We designed and engineered a multi-tower, point to multipoint wireless network to effectually deliver broadband Internet access to tribal members where traditional Internet service is not available. Most impressive, there were no disruptions during this year's horrendous snow storm in that area.
New Logo Conveys our Corporate Philosophy on Building Advanced Networks
To reflect the company's growth and how we go to market at RESOLUTE Partners, we launched a new website and logo. We also launched a blog, where we could provide our thoughts on various industry topics, like "5 Reasons Why Your Guests Wireless Internet Access is Essential" or "Is The Future of Dark Fiber Data Security?"
Our core principle is we strive to be a great partner. We are steadfast in our support of the clients and vendors we do business with. And our business is to make advanced wireless and wired networks work. So we created a logo incorporating these important themes: Partnership and Communications.
In the end, we have had a pretty exciting and challenging 2014, but we are even more excited for the opportunities in 2015. We hope you all have a safe and happy New Year.
