RESOLUTE Partners is pleased to announce we have completed the requirements for compliance with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800- 171, “Protecting Controlled Unclassified Information in Nonfederal Information Systems and Organizations.” This compliance effects businesses working on DoD contracts, either as a prime or a subcontractor, and was required to be completed by December 31, 2017.
"Security of classified defense technical information is of vital importance," said RESOLUTE CEO Michael Blanco. "RESOLUTE is proud to have completed its assessment on the timeline requested by the government. Recent events in both the commercial and federal marketplace illustrate the critical nature of these assessments. Our work with DoD clients on mobility and energy management and control projects following the Risk Management Framework (RMF), continues to grow and this assessment, and continuous monitoring, will be an important part of RESOLUTE’s growth in the coming year.”
To meet the requirements, RESOLUTE Partners engaged in a third-party company assessor, has written documentation showing the company has addressed all areas of the compliance, including a network vulnerability assessment, written a System Security Plan including POA&M’s, and has an action plan to keep RESOLUTE's system compliant moving forward. Compliance requirements related to POA&M’s will be reviewed and remediated as required and is an integral part of the company's ongoing action plan to maintain and improve security posture.
